DVD Review: Secret Bridesmaid's Business
by Sally Murphy

Can friendship survive the 'perfect' wedding?

Meg's wedding will be perfect. Months in the planning, every last detail has been thought of by Meg and her mother. Well, everything except the bombshell her bridesmaids are about to drop. When she hears about her husband-to-be's infidelity, will she call the whole thing off?

Starring Helen Dallimore (Meg) and Val Lehman (her mother), along with Vince Colosimo as the groom and bridesmaids Rebecca Frith and Sacha Horler, the movie is not the feel good wedding video the title and the cover shots suggest. Instead it is fine blend of comedy and drama.

Based on the stage play of the same name by Elizabeth Coleman, the story makes a great transfer to screen, helped by surperb acting by Lehman and Dallimore.

Secret Bridesmaids' Business is available on DVD and VHS, with extra features on the DVD version, including a deleted scene "Whatever happened to Naomi?" and interviews with the creative team.

Secret Bridesmaids' Business, ABC DVD
RRP DVD $34.95 (AUD), VHS $29.95
