The Norman Gunston Show aired on Australian televison from 1973 until 1976. Gunston's antics, interviewing some of the world's biggest celebrities, have been talked about, replayed and generally remembered ever since. Now ABC DVD has produced a compilation of some of the highlights of the show - The Gunston Tapes. This compilation, put together in 1991 by Garry McDonald (who played Gunston) and others, features footage of Gunston's encounters with Muhammed Ali, Paul McCartney, Gough Whitlam, Hugh Hefner and many many more. Although the quality of the recording is variable - the footage is, after all, thirty years old - Gunston fans won't be disappointed with this offering. A trip down memory lane.
