Each episode traces the history of one dynasty - the Murdoch, Downer, MacArthur, Wright, Myer, Durack and De Bortoli families. As well as looking at some of the past and present members of each family, the series focusses on how they have shaped Australian society, their ongoing influence and their private motivations.
