This two DVD set contains the six episode series of the same name, as seen on ABC television. The series examines the natural wonders of the unique island continent that is Australia, as well as its island neighbours.

Even viewers who know Australia well will be amazed to be reminded just how great the diversity of Australia's natural environment can be. From vast shallow coral reefs to snowy mountains, from scorching deserts to lush rainforests, what is apparent is the incredible beauty of each part of the continent.

The series examines this beauty, but it also examines the evolution of Australia's natural environment - from the creation if the continent 45 million years ago, to what it is today, still beautiful, but also very much altered by the intrusion of man and of introduced species.

As well as the six episodes, the DVD set has two special features, focussing on possums and penguins.
