Long before he appeared on our television screens as the host of the recent My Restaurant Rules, Curtis Stone was an acclaimed international chef, based in the UK. In Surfing the Menu, shown on ABC TV in 2003, he returned to Australia with fellow expatriate chef, Ben O'Donoghue, and cooked his way across the country. Now available on video and DVD, the series shows the boys journeying to far-flung locations around the continent, sampling and preparing some of the best Australian food. Locations include Maragret River, at the heart of Western Australia's wine region, Byron Bay, the Hunter Valley, the Abrolhos Islands and more. This is a cooking show, but it is also entertaining, with the two chefs surfing and playing, and the scenery breathtaking. The video of the series shows episodes 1-4, with the DVD offering all 8 episodes from the first series. Surfing the Menu ABC Video, 2003
