DVD Review: The Saddle Club - Storm
Reviewed by Sally Murphy

The girls are growing up.

First it was a popular book series by Canadian Bonnie Bryant, then it was an equally popular television series. Now young Saddle Club fans can watch their favourite characters on video and DVD. This latest offering combines epsiodes of the television show into an 80 minute movie.

The girls are getting older than in earlier series and, as well as their continued horsey adventures, are contending with the issues of adolescence.

In Storm, the latest arrival at Pine Hollow is Storm, a badly mistreated horse who Lisa wants to rehabilitate. No one believes she can do it and when it looks like Storm might be returned to the refuge, Lisa risks her life to show her faith in the horse.

Meanwhile, Pine Hollow is in danger of closing. Financial problems mean that their favourite riding trails might be sold. Veronica is the only person who can save the trails - if the Saddle Club girls can convince her to help.

Storm is bound to be a big hit with young Saddle Club fans.
