DVD Review: Cosi
Reviewed by Sally Murphy

A comedy that's not quite all there.

When Lewis (Ben Mendlesohn) takes on a job at an asylum, he thinks he'll be helping the patients stage a variety show. But patient Roy (Barry Otto) insists on something more grand. He wants to stage Mozart's opera Cosi Fan Tutte.

With a cast that can't sing, act or speak Italian, Lewis has his work cut out for him.

Featuring some of Australia's best-known actors - including Toni Colette, Rachel Griffiths, David Wenham and Colin Friels, Cosi is a humorous, yet touching, offering.

The DVD comes with a bonus short film, The Two-Wheeled Time Machine, written and directed by Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) Graduate, David Lowe. It also includes a theatrical trailer, interactive menus and subtitles.

Fun.
